Bird in profile, facing to the left. It is depicted standing on a base of yellow ochre with some tufts of grass against a plain background. The bird's underparts are white overlaid with grey hatched lines, and feathers outlined in brown. There is a brown stripe overlaid with black hatched lines from the top of the head down the side of the neck. The upper parts are otherwise pale blue-grey overlaid with darker hatching and brown detail, with a white stripe on the wing. The drawing is framed by a pencil border and annotated in ink and pencil.
