hide detailed image description

Flowering tree or shrub, with details of the inflorescence and seed at natural size, against a plain background. The lower half of the sheet contains a view of the whole plant including the roots. It has a slender brown trunk, and the foliage is represented by individual pointed leaves and pink flowers. Above is a detail of a single upright branch with small lanceolate green leaves arranged in pairs, and round pink flowers that are composed of overlaid pink lines creating a spherical appearance, surrounded by yellow anthers. At centre left there is a detail of a seed case with seeds represented by short orange lines. The drawing is annotated in brown ink.
