Bird, its body turned to the right but seen from a slightly frontal view, with the head turned in profile to the left. It is perched on a tree branch against a plain background. The face and crown of the bird are black, with black bands extending from behind the neck and almost meeting on the breast; the throat and belly are white, with brown marks on the legs. The back is green overlaid with darker hatched lines. The tail is brown and similarly overlaid with darker hatched lines and patterned with small dark grey triangular marks. The drawing is framed by a pencil border and annotated in ink and pencil.
