- The drawing is inscribed in blue pencil at top right with the number "80". This refers to the pre-1984 numbering system for the Watling collection.
- The implements are numbered 1-4, and the drawing annotated in black ink, at lower left, "1. A sword made of hard wood 2. A water buckett made of bark" and at lower right "3. A Fish gigg from 10 to 12 feet long 4. A spear from 10 to 12 feet long -".
- The drawing is unsigned and undated.
- The sword (number 1) is also depicted in Watling drawing number 78, where it is labelled with its aboriginal name.
