Head-and-shoulders portrait of a young unbearded Aboriginal man, his body turned slightly to the right with his left shoulder lowered, and his head turned so that the eyes look out towards the viewer. His arms are folded across his chest, which is marked with cicatrices, and the fore-finger of his right hand points down towards the right-hand corner of the drawing. The drawing is framed by a pencil border and annotated in brown ink.
