Abstract

The genus Andrevella (Acari: Erythraeidae) is recorded for the first time from Iran. Andrevella persiangulfia sp. nov., represented by a larva collected as free-living on soil on a Persian Gulf beach is described. It is the second species of this little known genus. A modified generic diagnosis of Andrevella is provided.

Key words: Acari, Erythraeidae, new species, Andrevella, Iran
