Member Event: The Chimpanzee and Me
Event type: talk
Location: Flett Theatre
We are closely related to chimpanzees, but why do we look so different?
While he may not be a monkey's uncle, biologist and broadcaster Professor Ben Garrod revels in the fact that he is definitely a chimpanzee's cousin. With his characteristic humour, energy and enthusiasm, Ben takes us on a personal journey to discover what it means to be a twenty-first century chimp.
This family-friendly show explores our relationship with our closest relatives, the threats they face and what the future might hold for them.
Following the show until 17.30, Members will have the chance to meet Ben during a book signing.
