Step back in time in our beautiful Anning Rooms to learn all about Charles Darwin through an interactive session especially for children.

Do your little ones ever wonder how there are so many different animals that behave in so many different ways?

Well, Charles Darwin was thinking the same thing nearly 200 years ago! 

In this special event for family Members, children will be able to interact with Charles Darwin to understand and learn more about his theory of evolution. Children will also enjoy creating their very own origami Galapagos finch to take home. This event is ideal for children between the ages of four and eight.

The event is open to Members and Patrons and will take place in our Library room on the second floor of the Anning Rooms.

Before or after your session, stop by our Anning Rooms restaurant to enjoy our kids menu. Members must book a ticket for themselves, and their children, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Important information

    There is a maximum of three children per adult.

    Tickets to this event are available to Members only.

    Tickets are non-transferrable and no refunds or exchanges will be given.

    This event is best suited to those aged four to eight but children of all ages are welcome. 

    We will ask all Members to use hand sanitiser prior to entering the event space, and windows will be open to allow ventilation.

    The Museum reserves the right to make any necessary changes to the event as required, such as adjusting the locations, timings or content of the activities. This is to ensure that we deliver a safe and excellent experience for all guests at all times.

    There are several baby changing facilities and accessible toilets, and the Museum is fully accessible for wheelchairs and buggies. Find out more about access at South Kensington.
