Member Event: Photography Workshop with Clive Nichols
Event type: workshop
Location: Hintze Hall
Member: £26.50 (11.00 and 14.00 sessions)
Member: £38.50 (8.00 session)
Join us for a photography workshop in Museum's iconic Hintze Hall.
You can choose between three different time slots, the first of which offers early access to the Museum before it opens to the public.
Pick up photography tips and techniques from Clive Nichols, one of the UK's foremost architecture and garden photographers.
All levels of knowledge and experience will be catered for.
In order to get the most out of the workshop, a DSLR camera and a selection of lenses would be preferable. Participants with a simple point-and-shoot camera or a camera phone can still learn plenty of techiniques from the event, however.
Guests with manual settings on their camera will learn how to use aperture, shutter speeds and different lenses (macro, zoom and tilt/shift). The class will focus on capturing the building, details of sculptures within the building and frame-filling close-ups of specimens.
During the workshop, you will also learn about the Museum and collections from one of our science communicators.
