Mary Anning was one of the most influential fossil hunters who ever lived.

Find out all about her incredible discoveries in this interactive session especially for children.

With our host, Mary Anning herself, you will learn amazing facts about dinosaurs, fossilisation and fossil hunting on the beaches of England, as well as learning where the famous 'She sells sea shells on the sea shore' song supposedly originated.

Children will work in small groups with Mary to understand how dinosaurs became fossilised, as well as creating their very own dinosaur fossil to take home!

This event will be held in the Anning Rooms for Members and Patrons. The rooms are named in celebration of Mary, and the session will take place in our beautiful Library Room on the second floor.

This event is ideal for children between the ages of 4-10.
