Drop in and explore the beauty and diversity of nature by taking part in our free activities for all the family.

Brilliant Beaks and Wish Wings

Explore amazing bird beaks and the diversity of birds with a pecking game.

Be part of creating large wings with feathers you colour, doodle or write wishes on.

This roar-some show puts using scientific skills at the heart of an exciting adventure back in time to learn about dinosaurs.

Pollen detectives

Pollen is tiny, but you’ll be amazed to see the different shapes it comes in! Meet Museum botanist Norbert Holstein and have a look at pollen through a microscope and using our 3D pollen models. Can you become a pollen detective and find out the plants bees have been visiting to make some honey?
