Join us and Pukka this summer for a free, family-friendly festival championing nature. The festival runs from Saturday 17 August to Sunday 1 September.

As you make your way around the Museum, drop in on fun and inspiring games, shows and events.

How will you become a Nature Champion?

Visit Herbie, Pukka's airstream, on the Museum's east lawn from 17 August to 1 September. There will be a whole host of tea to taste and activities to join.

Don't miss the Bee Boys dance group, Flutterby stilts performers and Queen Bee acting troupe!

Plant a seed, save a bee

Upcycle your tea sample cup by making your own pet bee.

Grow a pollinator-loving plant when you get home by planting the seeded paper to attract pollinators to your garden or window box.

Make a pledge to help the planet

How will you help the environment - take part in a BioBlitz, provide water for bees, plant some trees?

Write your Pukka pledge on a wooden tag to be hung up on the pledge tree.

Make a butterfly badge

How many butterfly species do you know?

Choose one of your favourites and create a beautiful badge using recycled colourful Pukka boxes.

Activities around the Museum

Join us in the Wildlife Garden and Orange Zone for some fun family activities. 

Budding wildlife detectives can discover underwater creatures, get hands-on with real insect specimens and join interactive puppet shows.
