February Family Festival

Our space-themed family festival is back for February half-term with shows, activities, self-guided trails and much more.

Our astronauts are preparing for the final take off because our exhibition Space: Could Life Exist Beyond Earth? closes on Sunday 22 February. Join us for our last space-themed festival!

School holidays are our busiest times of the year. Book free general admission tickets ahead of your visit to guarantee your entry.

With incredible puppets that unleash a mighty roar, this journey into the Jurassic is fun for kids and adults alike. Watch and learn, grab a photo with the fearsome Tyrannosaurus rex and its friends and make a wonderful family memory.

With almost one million known asteroids in our solar system, our scientists are looking to unlock their secrets and understand of how Earth and other planets formed. Join us to explore how these rocky, metallic or icy bodies give us clues as to how life began on Earth.

Take on our free, self-guided family trail and explore our galleries in search of clues that life might exist elsewhere in the universe.  From ancient meteorites to Martian rocks, investigate the biggest mystery of all – could life exist beyond Earth?

Explore our collection of riveting tours exploring our galleries, collections and exhibitions happening throughout the half-term.

Throughout the week, our learning volunteers will be out and about sharing their wonderful natural history knowledge. You’ll find them at our interactive pop-up stands and they’ll also be delivering tours exploring the diverse history of science. Tours are subject to volunteer availability.
