Tiny fossils known as foraminifera sit deep within the Museum’s collections and number in the tens of millions.
These have been gathered from all over the world by expeditions like the ground-breaking HMS Challenger voyage.
Curator Henry Buckley analysed and organised this incredible collection, but his efforts were never publicised.
Meet scientist Giles Miller who is continuing Buckley’s legacy by realising the power of these magnificent microfossils.
