Corporate partner pass terms and conditions

This legal notice applies to the use of all Corporate Partner Passes provided by the Natural History Museum.

By using the Corporate Partner Pass (“Pass”) you are you are entering into an agreement with The Natural History Museum Trading Company Limited (henceforth referred to as 'NHMTC'), whose registered office is at Cromwell Road, London SW7 5BD on the terms and conditions set out below.

NHMTC is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Natural History Museum and performs the Museum's trading activities. It is incorporated in England as a private company limited by shares under the Companies Acts (Company Number: 02909192). All profits of the trading company are transferred to the Natural History Museum, being a charity, under a Gift Aid declaration.

These terms and conditions are additional to and not a substitute for the general terms and conditions of use of the Natural History Museum website.

How to use your pass

Corporate Partner Passes provide complimentary entry to all exhibitions at the Natural History Museum for 1 employee plus guests (number stated on Pass).

The Pass must be validated with an agreed form of company ID such as staff pass or business card

The Pass can be presented as either a printed copy or on a smart device to be scanned at your chosen exhibition

Misuse

Entry via the Pass is strictly for the sole use of the Corporate Partner named. The Pass is not for resale or gift, for the avoidance of any doubt any Pass sold or gifted to any outlet or third party will not be valid. Should the Pass be misused, the Museum and NHMTC withholds the right to cancel or modify the barcode at any given time without compensation. Any attempted resale or gift of the Pass will also be grounds for seizure and cancellation without compensation. Invalid or expired Passes will not be accepted.

The Museum reserves the right to refuse entry to a Pass holder or to close or remove parts of an exhibition or event if it is deemed faulty or unsafe or overcrowded.

The final decision on the validity of any Pass will be that of Museum staff.

Access to events

Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

We reserve the right to remove from an event or refuse entry to anyone who:

  • behaves in a way that adversely affects the enjoyment of other visitors
  • uses threatening, abusive or insulting language or behaviour, or in any way provokes a breach of the peace
  • is or appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol

On weekends and at other busy times you may need to queue, so please arrive at your event 20 minutes before your chosen time slot. Some venues can be up to 15 minutes' walk from the main Museum entrances, so make sure you allow plenty of time to travel through the Museum. Bookings cannot be changed once completed. Visitors who arrive late may be refused entry.

Cancellation of events

We may close or remove parts of an exhibition or event if deemed faulty or unsafe. In addition performers are subject to change or cancellation at any time without notice. No refund will be given if a performer is changed or cancelled and the event or exhibition still takes place.

If an event is cancelled or postponed, NHMTC cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred by the customer for travel, accommodation or any other related service.

Limitation of liability

NHMTC's liability to you is limited to refunding the price of the products as described above in the 'Cancellation of events' section of these terms. NHMTC is not responsible to you to any greater extent. NHMTC is not liable to you by reason of any representation, implied warranty, condition or other term, duty at common law, under the express terms of these Terms and Conditions or in negligence (whether on the part of NHMTC, its officers, employees or agents) for any indirect or consequential loss (including financial loss such as loss of profit, or otherwise) that you may incur as a consequence of the use of the website, the supply of the Pass or its use by you.

NHMTC shall not be deemed to be in breach of these Terms and Conditions or any other contract with you by reason of any delay in performing or any failure to perform any of its obligations in relation to the Pass or tickets ordered by you if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond its reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms and conditions of sale shall serve to exclude or limit NHMTC's liability in respect of death or personal injury caused by NHMTC's negligence or the negligence of its officers or employees or for any fraudulent misrepresentation.

The limitations set out in this section apply equally for the benefit of the Museum.

No person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions shall have any right to enforce any term under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

NHMTC may assign or transfer any of its rights or subcontract any of its obligations under these Terms and Conditions to any third party. You may not assign or transfer any of your rights or subcontract any of your obligations under these Terms and Conditions except with the specific permission in writing of NHMTC.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects any of your statutory rights which may not be legally excluded.

Changes to the terms and conditions of sale

Our terms and conditions of sale may be changed. Please review them regularly. If you continue to use the website or the Pass after a change has been made you are deemed to have accepted them.

Law and jurisdiction

These terms and conditions of sale shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in relation to the website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If any of these terms or conditions of sale should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, it shall be deemed deleted and the remaining terms and conditions shall survive and continue to be binding and enforceable.
