| Title | British Herbarium: Papers Associated with Plant Collections |
| Description | This series consists of the items of correspondence, notes, photographs and notebooks that came to the herbarium with collections of British specimens. Where the manuscript collection was large and wide-ranging it has been placed in the Botany Library, but where it relates largely to specimens in the collection it has been transferred to Archives. The series includes material relating to the Rubus collection of W C Barton, the C E Salmon herbarium, and the ReverendW Moyle Rogers Rubus collection, and smaller collections relating to the Mrs E S Gregory, W B Grove, F J Hanbury, Reverend E F Linton, C C Lacaita and A J Wilmott herbaria. It also inlcudes a list of historic specimens in the British Herbarium compiled by M B Gerrans and a list of plant specimens supplied to the British Museum by R Tate. |
