| Description | This series consists of copies of the communications made by the Keeper to the Trustees on all aspects of the work of the Department, together with official letters and memoranda informing him of the Trustees' decisions. For the period 1827-1913 DF403/1-23) there are only a few supporting documents, but for 1914-1928 (DF403/24-38) there is a wider range of letters, memoranda and other papers, as well as the annual estimates. From 1929-1968 (DF403/39-78) notes and other papers of all sorts are included in the files. |
