Description Dawn of a Great Discovery. Article by A R Wallace produced on January 17 1903 in Black & White The article is on page 78 and deals with "my relations with Darwin in reference to the theory of Natural Selection" Mentioned that he met Darwin at the British Museum in 1854 and corresponded with him from Malay Archipelago. "The one great result which I claim for my paper of 1858 is, that it compelled Darwin to write and publish his Origin of Species without further delay". On the reverse page are other articles and photographs. On page 79 is a very large b/w photograph at his desk entitled "The central figure in a romance of science" - underneath is a caption "photo specially taken for Black and White by Elliott and Fry - this page is duplicated.
