ActivityMuseum Staff. Appointed assistant keeper (2nd class) in Department of Zoology, Bird Section 12 Feb 1935; 1st class 1943; principal scientific officer 1948; deputy keeper 1 Oct 1957. After war service with The Admiralty, took over from Norman Kinnear in charge of the Bird Section 1945. He took part in the British Museum (Natural History) South West Africa Expedition 1949-50 with Mrs B P Hall and Col. Cave. Organised five Harold Hall Expeditions to Australia 1962 - 1968. Joint author with F O Cave of Birds of the Sudan (1955). Retired 30 Sep 1968. Moved to Australia with his wife Betty, a medical doctor. .
