Activity | Museum Staff ('Unofficial Worker' / 'Scientific Associate'). Hall worked daily as a volunteer on a small grant in the Bird Section from 1947 to 1971, sharing an office with Miss Warren. She worked on the curation of the collection and did much transcribing of the earliest skin register. She took part in BM(NH) expeditions to South West Africa in 1949/50 with Mr and Mrs J D Macdonald and Col F O Cave; to Bechuanaland in 1950, 1957 & 1962; to Angola in 1957. She led the 3rd Harold Hall expedition to Australia in 1965. She was co-author with R E Moreau of An Atlas of Speciation in African Passerine Birds (1970). With the move of the birds out of London she decided to 'retire' but was asked to edit Birds of the Harold Hall Australian Expeditions,1962-1970 (1974) and was made an Honorary Associate of the museum in 1974.
