1. Expeditions organised and financed by the Museum, eg DF213/10-16
2. Expeditions organised by some other institution but supported and staffed by the Museum, eg DF213/71-73
3. Expeditions financed by private individuals for the benefit of the Museum, eg DF213/34-44 and 63
4. Expeditions run independently of the Museum, but which it helped with equipment and advice, and in return received specimens for the collections. The last type are much the most numerous. |
