AdminHistory | Muir-Wood studied geology at Bedford College, and carried out post-graduate research on Palaeozoic brachiopod faunas at University College with Professor Garwood. She first worked at the Museum in 1919, being made Part-time Assistant in charge of the Brachiopoda in 1923. She became a full-time member of staff in 1936, and Deputy-Keeper in 1955.
