Description | These letters were returned to the Natural History Museum Archives in 2008, by the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. The letters were written between 1948-1949 by Peter Mattingly to Leonard Jan Bruce-Chwatt, and mainly focus on the new species Aedes pseudoafricanus.
Also a letter from Cornelius Philip urging Bruce-Chwatt to designate a lectotype male and female and send them to the British Museum (Natural History) and Bruce-Chwatt's reply.
Also a letter from Muirhead Thomson to Alan Gilroy dated 1946 answering questions on effects that swamp drainage in the Lagos mangrove swamps might have on mosquitos and malaria. |
