After-school Club for Grown-ups
Join us for an evening of retro fun for grown-ups as night descends on the Natural History Museum.
Hosted in collaboration with TimeOut, this event will take you back to your formative years and channel your inner child. After being welcomed into a house by the Museum Headmasters, you'll take part in activities as you explore the Museum after hours learning about the natural world.
Activities and experiences include:
- make your own grass head, take it home and watch it grow
- uncover little-known secrets about the Museum on a gallery hunt
- make your own animal clay model
- get your face painted
- enter an inflatable planetarium, where you can learn about space
- enjoy drinks and snacks at our atmospheric bar
- and many more hands-on sessions
The Silent School Disco is then the perfect way to end the night from 22.15 onwards.
Changes for 2017
From January until the summer of 2017, Hintze Hall will be closed while we work on a spectacular reimagining of this iconic national space.
During this time you will still be able to enjoy our events. After-school Club for Grown-ups will take place in the Red and Green Zones, while the Silent Discos will be held in the Darwin Centre and the Blue Zone. The Mammals and Mammals (blue whale) galleries will not be open during this event.
