No earthquakes and volcanoes at the Museum
Until autumn 2013 the Red Zone's Power Within gallery, with its earthquake simulator and volcano room, is closed for refurbishment. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Experience 100s of live butterflies in our popular outdoor exhibition on the Museum's front lawn. Open until 15 September.

Go beyond dodos and dinosaurs to explore the crucial role extinction plays in the evolution of life. Open until 8 September.
Give the kids a treat
Take your pick from several cafés, indoors and outdoors, and the basement picnic area, for eating and drinking. Find lots of toys, games and books in the Museum shops.
