2005: Wildscapes - Highly Commended Print
Henrik Lund (Finland)
After the thunderstorm
One beautiful evening, just after a heavy thunderstorm, when the mist had started to rise, Henrik set off to photograph elk in a forest meadow where he knew they gathered to graze. Forest covers most of Emäsalo island in the Porvoo archipelago, and it was the forest that he ended up photographing. 'The rays of evening sunshine had begun to warm it up again, and the whole place glowed,' he remembers. 'This is how I see Finnish nature - gold and green.'
