- 3 - 17 April 2012 – Entrants who have an image(s) in the final round of judging will be notified and asked to submit their original files and transparencies.
- Mid-May 2012 – Winning photographers notified.
- September 2012 - Commended images published on our website and in BBC Wildlife magazine.
- October 2012 - competition winners announced.
