Learning and activity guide for schools

The Britain: One Million Years of the Human Story schools' guide outlines curriculum links to Year 9 and Key Stage 4 science, other related activities and content to explore.

There are four key learning themes in the guide highlighting environment, human species, daily life and scientific methods. Learning outcomes for schools include:

  • understanding the changes to Britain's landscapes over the past million years
  • interpreting evidence that has led to the conclusions we have reached about ancient life in Britain
  • insight into the richness and complexity of the lives of ancient Britons:
