What happens when someone discovers a rare and important fossil?

Hear the story of a large ancient human leg bone uncovered by an amateur archaeologist at a dig in Boxgrove, Sussex in 1993, which turned out to be one of the oldest human remains ever found in Britain.

Conservator Lorraine Cornish describes how she treated and pieced the bone together when it arrived at the Museum.
