Take a breather out on the elegant Darwin Centre Courtyard and enjoy views of the thriving Wildlife Garden.
The Courtyard and Tsunami Memorial can be accessed from the lower ground floor of the Darwin Centre.
Our beautiful courtyard, with its curved steps and lawn area, is the perfect place to take a break during your Museum visit. See the Alfred Russel Wallace statue, unveiled by Sir David Attenborough, and pay your respects at the Tsunami Memorial.
Many of our summer events take place in this outdoor space.
Wander over to the Wildlife Garden, our haven of nature in the heart of the city.
The courtyard memorial commemorates the British people who lost their lives in the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami.
