(Claw of Baryonyx walkeri) Baryonyx means 'heavy claw'. Unusually for a carnivorous dinosaur we know it ate fish as scientists have found fish scales and teeth with its fossil where its stomach would have been.

Sandwich bar closure

The Red Zone Sandwich bar is closed from 1 June until August for refurbishment.

A temporary café will be located by the Exhibition Road entrance, at the exit of the Earth Today and Tomorrow gallery. Alternatively visit the main restaurant in the Green Zone. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

What's on offer

Freshly filled baguettes, wraps and toasted sandwiches are available at the Sandwich bar. You can also get cold drinks, tea and coffee and some tempting freshly baked cookies and cakes.

This light and airy café is a great place to enjoy a light lunch when exploring the Red Zone galleries.
