Australian Green Tree frog (Litoria infrafrenata) Frogs come in all shapes and sizes. The largest frog in the world is the goliath frog (Conraua goliath), up to 30 centimetres long whereas one of the smallest is Psyllophryne didactyla, its body only grows to less than one centimetre.

By becoming a Member, your subscription fees will help support our magnificent collections and crucial work and protect our listed building.

We care for some priceless historical collections, including specimens from the explorer Captain Cook’s voyages on the Endeavour and Discovery in the late 1700s. Specimens of great historical significance could be lost or damaged beyond repair. Your membership will help us care for them properly.

We have 300 scientists performing cutting-edge research with global impact, from finding ways to extract poisonous metals from contaminated soil or investigating cleaner methods of generating energy without fossil fuels, to preventing the spread of malaria or examining the origins of human life.

Just as important is your help in protecting our beautiful Grade I listed building, as well as our mission to help people appreciate the science and wonders of the natural world.
