Anyone can leave a gift in their will, it doesn't have to be a huge amount. Even small gifts can make a big difference and your support can help the Museum in so many essential ways.
The Natural History Museum is home to over 70 million specimens. We keep the most comprehensive and precious record of natural life in the world.
Help us understand nature's diversity.
Our mission is to care for the collections and use them to understand nature’s diversity and inspire better care of our planet.
Each day our scientists use these collections to support research projects in the UK and overseas, and to make groundbreaking discoveries. This research, for example in areas like fighting malaria, has contributed to improving life for millions. It's also our job to share our knowledge and expertise to inspire future generations.
Your gift could help us:
The Museum owes its beginnings to the legacy of Sir Hans Sloane, an 18th-century physician passionate about natural history.
Our legacy brochure contains suggested wording for your will.
If you have already made a will you can add a gift to the Museum by drafting a Codicil. Please contact us if you require further information.
