Research interests

Herpetology, especially the biology of extinct and extant archosaurian reptiles, and of caecilian amphibians (Gymnophiona) and burrowing snakes - including alpha taxonomy, anatomy, molecular and morphological systematics, ecology, biogeography, life-history evolution, and conservation. I am also interested in the theory and methods of phylogenetic inference, particularly character formulation for morphological data.
