Research Interests

• The evolution of human cognition, particularly the evolution of speech and language.
• The archaeological evidence for hominin cognition.
• The evolution of modern human growth and development, particularly at adolescence.
• Modern human morphological variation.
• The relationship between hard and soft tissue and the associated skeletal markers for soft tissue

Employment at NHM

I joined the Museum in March 2006 as Repatriation Co-ordinator. In January 2008, I became Head of the newly formed Human Remains Unit.
