  • The systematics of Chalcidoidea (Hymenoptera) with special emphasis on the Encyrtidae
  • The use of Chalcidoidea (Hymenoptera) as biocontrol agents for agricultural pests

Current activities

  • Updating an interactive electronic catalogue and biological database of World Chalcidoidea, currently available on CD
  • A complete revision of the 130 genera and 1500 species of Encyrtidae currently known to occur in Costa Rica
