I enclose a shabby little morpho, from Rio Grande do Sul1. Can you give me the name on a post-card, and if it is a common species?

1. Rio Grande do Sul is the Southernmost state in Brazil.
2. Written at the end of the letter in an unidentified hand is: "The insect seems a much rubber [?] specimen of Morpho thamyris, Felder not uncommon in Southern Brazil. 12.v.09 Jattern [?]".
