Dear Dr Wallace,

Mr Henry Deane of this city mentioned to me your desire to obtain some data concerning the distribution of some [one word illegible] of our Australian plants and thinking perhaps a recently published book of this Institution might be of some use to you in this connection I have taken the liberty of forwarding you under separate cover a copy of it for your acceptance.

A botanical survey of the Pines is given under each species for N.S.W. and illustrated by a map at the back of the book.

There are also other points of [one word illegible] provided in the [one word illegible] produced from the research, that I hope may also interest you.

With kindest regards | Yours faithfully | Rich. T. Baker [signature]
