Broadstone, Wimborne

Dr Sir

I can answer none of your questions. I think no one but a resident in a district where the wild species of Gallus abounded could do so. Any resident in Ceylon or Central India -- some sportsman or biologist would be the best to apply to. The Secretary of the Zoological Society, London, -- could inform you as to likely persons.

yours truly | Alfred R. Wallace [signature]
