31st May, 1915.

Dear Mr. Wallace,

I have yours of the 28th, and am glad that what I said [1 word, illeg.] would be of service to you. I am much obliged to you for sending the tracing of the map of the Rio Negro. I am having a search made to see whether we have the original drawing by your father, but I hardly think that we have. At any rate, what you sent is very welcome.

Should you not hear from Dr. H. O. Forbes soon you might write to him, his address is Redcliffe, Beaconsfield, Bucks.

Yours very truly, [no signature]
