Dear Sirs

I have no notes of any corrections in the last Edition of "Island Life".3 It must therefore be reprinted as it is.

1. The letter is written on a postcard. "120" written in lead pencil in an unknown hand on the top right, above the address.

2. Date "12 APR 1911" stamped in very faint purple ink above "Dear Sir', with a separate faint purple vertical stamp to its right showing the initials "W.B." inside a rectangle.

3. Wallace, Alfred Russel. (1880. [Third, revised, edition, 1911]). Island Life: Or, The Phenomena and Causes of Insular Faunas and Floras, Including a Revision and Attempted Solution of the Problem of Geological Climates. Macmillan & Co., London

4. The address "Messrs. Macmillan..." is printed on the reverse of the postcard which bears a halfpenny postage stamp postmarked "Broadstone AP 11 11". There is a circular British Library stamp in red ink in the lower left corner.
