January 25th. 1898

My dear Violet

I send you Wills letter which came yesterday after 3 1/2 weeks silence. It contains the remarks on the phrenological characters, which seem very correct considering that they were arrived at only from Photos.

When you send the letter on to Hurst, explain to them [[2]] what it all refers to or they will be puzzled.

In haste | Your affect[iona]te Pa | Alfred R. Wallace. [signature]
