Dear Sir: --

I beg to inform you that the seeds and the roots you like to have from our country can only be collected in the country fall. I have already asked many of my friends here, as well as those in Yesso and [1 word illeg.], so that as soon as I obtain them I will not fail to send them to you.

A friend of mine likes to translate your "World of Life" you mention in your last letter some. Will you kindly give him the permission to do the same. He would like to put your photograph on the title page of the translation if you will allow him to do it also.

Hoping you will favor him with your permission | I remain very respectfully yours | C. Ishikawa [signature]
