I do not know whether I am other than the first in calling your attention to the epithet enter it[?] applied by you to the genus Hyomoschus (fen. Dirt vol. i p. 120). The myology of this animal has lately been the subject of investigation (Chatin -- Animales des Sc. Nat. 5e ver. [] Zool. et Pal. tom .xv. (1872)). This paper -- referred to by myself [1 word illeg.] (P. 3. 5. Feb[ruary]. 1. 1896) has been also referred to by Prof. Flower (P. 3. 5. March 16.1895 -- p. 181 of part ii for that year --); in this latter paper various other observations in the mineral sostelogical[?] characters of Hyomoschus will be formed.
Your own segment -- on page []3 xiii of your preface must be my apology for troubling you with this note.
