Cyflwyniad
Mae rhestrau gwirio'n rhestrau o rywogaethau a lunnir i
- gyd-fynd â darn o ddeddfwriaeth e.e. rhestr o rywogaethau sydd mewn perygl yn Iwerddon
- diffinio grŵp tacsonomig e.e. rhestr o holl adar y Deyrnas Unedig
Mae'r rhestrau'n cael eu llunio gan awdurdod megis asiantaethau llywodraethol, arbenigwyr gwyddonol a sefydliadau cadwraethol. Yr awdurdodau sydd biau eiddo deallusol a hawlfraint y rhestr.
Ceir yn y Geiriadur o rywogaethau'r Deyrnas Unedig fwy na 250 o restrau gwirio o rywogaethau a ddarparwyd gan amrywiaeth o arbenigwyr a sefydliadau llywodraethol, cadwraethol a gwyddonol.
