PCR set-up service

The Janus automated workstation is a pipetting robot, which can be easily programmed to set up PCR plates. It is particularly useful for researchers with time consuming protocols or high throughput projects, or for staff with limited time or lab experience.

We will run your initial samples for you, enabling you to trial the workstation. Training will be provided to regular users.

Prices start at £16 per plate for all consumables and staff time depending on your method.

Museum researchers and collaborators should contact Andie Hall to discuss their requirements and obtain a bespoke costing. Please note that you will need funds in place in order to use the service.

If you are interested in the service but external to the museum, please contact the molecular laboratory team.
