The Janus automated workstation is a pipetting robot, which can be easily programmed to set up PCR plates. It is particularly useful for researchers with time consuming protocols or high throughput projects, or for staff with limited time or lab experience.
We will run your initial samples for you, enabling you to trial the workstation. Training will be provided to regular users.
Prices start at £19.42 per plate for consumables and staff time depending on your method.
Museum researchers and collaborators should contact Andie Hall or Elena Lugli to discuss their requirements. Please note that you will need funds in place in order to use the service. You will need to submit a Molecular consumables stores request form in the usual way, as well as a Janus Protocol form (available on request). Additives and stock primers must be provided- all other reagents and consumables are included in the price.
If you are interested in the service but external to the museum, please contact the molecular laboratory team.
