Our state-of-the-art facilities provide a bespoke service for your research, training and consultation needs.
The lab team has a comprehensive variety of expertise which includes:
- DNA, RNA and protein extraction
- PCR
- optimisation and trouble-shooting
- difficult templates and/or
- long product fragments
- preparation for next generation sequencing reactions
- Real-Time PCR analysis

Laboratory support
All museum staff with a molecular FTE allocation are eligible for lab support on research projects. The LMT calls for applications bi-annually and you will receive an application form via e-mail. Or, download the form from the lab's online community (internal only). For assessment criteria contact the LMT.

Sequencing
