Registration
In order to start using the Library and Archives collections we ask that you join as a member on your first visit. There is no membership charge.
How to join
Please follow these steps on arrival:
- Provide personal identification and proof of your current address (accepted forms of ID listed below)
- Complete our short registration form. To save time you can print the registration form and fill it out in advance.

Membership card
Library staff will issue you with a Natural History Museum Library and Archives membership card. Be sure to bring it with you on future visits. It is valid for five years, after which you will need to renew your registration.
