About us

As one of the world's leading conservation and preservation facilities, the Conservation Centre provides primary care for specimens at the Natural History Museum.

We treat objects ranging from modern anthropological and ethnographic specimens to scientific glass models, zoological and fossil skins and dinosaurs.

The Conservation Centre provides a unique resource, preparing, conserving and caring for objects from all scientific departments in the Museum.

Recognised for its high levels of expertise and service, the centre runs training courses and provides conservation and consultancy services to museums and other institutions around the world.
