More about Starting at the Museum

Andy Currant

Andy is passionate about the collections he curates and is inspired by the manner in which fossils can be used to tell us more about the natural world. He first became interested in natural history as a child, where he spent much of his free time digging for fossils in his garden. To help identify his finds, he used the Museum's enquiry service, which is still in operation today as the Angela Marmont Centre.

Andy's approach to the collections has included research into the stories behind earlier curators at the Museum and finds this a fascinating topic of study for revealing the history of a collection.
